Does it need a Google Maps API key?

No. OpenStreetMap mode works by default.

Can I use Google Maps or Mapbox?

Yes. They are optional providers and show a connection-required state until credentials are configured.

Can it sync Shopify Locations?

Yes. Merchants choose which Shopify Locations become public NearStock locations.

Can customers find where a product is available?

Yes. Product page and collection widgets use product mappings and inventory/location data.

Does it edit theme code?

No. It uses app blocks, an app embed, and app proxy routes.

Does it track customers?

No. Analytics are anonymous and do not use customer identity.
